Susan Harman
Managing Director of Investment Banking. Susan began her investment banking career in 1981 when she joined Robertson, Stephens & Company, a San-Francisco-based investment bank that had just recently been formed. At Robertson, Stephens, Ms. Harman managed private and public transactions for a broad spectrum of emerging growth companies. As the firm expanded in size and scope, Ms. Harman narrowed her focus to run the Semiconductor and Specialty Retailing investment banking practices. She later headed up the New York office where she developed the Education and Entertainment Technology sector for the firm. She was elected partner in 1984. Subsequently, Ms. Harman worked at PaineWebber Inc. as a Managing Director where she headed up the San Francisco office and initiated the firm’s Technology investment banking practice. Ms. Harman also worked as a Managing Director for Punk, Ziegel & Company in their Networking and Enterprise Software sectors. Susan graduated from Towson University and received her MBA from Stanford University. She enjoys riding horses and running marathons.
